I’m Taking the Protagonist’s First Love Chapter 17

 “No… I think I’m fine.”

It was an awkward way of speaking, no matter who heard it. Matthew took Riu’s arm like that and pulled him straight back. As Riu toppled over limply, Matthew slipped his arm under Riu’s head. Having unintentionally ended up using an arm as a pillow, Riu’s eyelids fluttered in shock.

“Riu.”

With a small whisper, Matthew’s green eyes curved smoothly. At the seductive and  affectionately smiling gaze, the area by Riu’s ears and the nape of his neck flushed in an instant. Seeing Riu turn red as if embarrassed, Matthew gave a slight, gentle smile.

From the unfamiliar sensations, Riu’s pupils trembled. At the sight of him wavering like someone who’d lost his bearings, Matthew brought his hand under Riu’s waist. That alone made Riu flinch and reflexively take a deep breath.

“U-um.”

“Let’s just stay like this. I won’t do anything.”

Holding Riu in his arms, Matthew whispered quietly. The sound of a heartbeat thudded noisily, whose, he couldn’t tell. When Riu swallowed from awkwardness, that sound came loud.

“Did you not sleep?”

“Ah… mm-hm.”

“If you’re tired, want to catch a little sleep?”

“No, I’m fine.”

Riu shook his head. Matthew stared fixedly at Riu, who was shaking it as if vehemently rejecting it. Matthew’s slowly exhaled breath touched Riu’s face and then faded. The ticklish sensation, like soft, fluffy cotton, made Riu feel strangely unsettled.

Amid that persistent gaze, a small mole could be seen under Matthew’s eye.

To the small mark that suited his black hair so well, Riu unconsciously reached out a hand. At the same time, a small shadow fell beneath Matthew’s trembling eyelids. Matthew, too, seemed not to have slept properly.

“You didn’t sleep either?”

“Yeah.”

Maybe he was fully drunk on the mood. Riu asked things he normally wouldn’t. Even knowing it wasn’t his place to pry, Riu didn’t stop and asked,

“Why…?”

“Because I was excited.”

With those words, Matthew looked down at Riu and gently curled the corners of his mouth into a grin.

Riu couldn’t say anything. His lips merely parted, then he pressed them shut, and Matthew softly stroked his cheek.

“Want to kiss?”

“…”

“I do. It’s been a while.”

With a fervent voice, Matthew gazed intently at Riu’s face. As if that alone weren’t enough, Matthew softly traced Riu’s features with his long fingers.

His hand, coming down from the straight forehead along the bridge of the nose, paused for a moment on the lips. He retraced along the curved lips and then fell along the jaw line. Matthew only did just that, yet Riu felt as if the bottom of his belly tingled somehow.

Seeing Riu’s face, tense to the brim, Matthew’s eyelids slowly lowered and rose. With eyes curved lightly like a languid cat, he fixed an alluring gaze on Riu.

“Riu.”

It was a thick, sticky voice, cool enough to give chills. Following the gently resonant voice, Matthew’s lips touched Riu’s forehead. The soft, tender feel lingered for a good while and then slowly peeled away. Only then did Riu let out the breath he had been holding.

Matthew’s hand rubbed Riu’s waist. Lingering while wandering over the clothes, his hand slowly climbed up along Riu’s spine. Seeing Riu’s body reflexively stiffen, a languid laugh escaped Matthew’s lips.

“Let’s kiss.”

“We’re kissing, so why the waist…!”

“I can’t hold back.”

With those words, Matthew pressed his lips to Riu’s. He pecked once and pulled back, then slid his tongue between Riu’s parted lips. As he pried in, their lips meshed and Riu reflexively closed his eyes.

Skimming over Riu’s face with his eyes, Matthew pulled at his neck. With his tongue burrowing in deep, Matthew naturally moved up on top of Riu. With one arm still cradling Riu’s head, he intertwined their legs.

Fitting together without a gap, body over body, Matthew set his knee and then wrapped Riu’s shoulders.

“…Hh.”

Without giving even a chance to breathe, Matthew rummaged inside his mouth. He gently stroked the tender places inside then flicked them. His fingers slid along the contoured line of Riu’s shoulder and then stopped below the navel.

The fingers that had been circling and wandering slipped inside Riu’s collar. As if a switch had been pressed, a chill traveled up his veins to the crown of his head. It was a dizzying sensation that made even the fine hairs stand on end.

His mind pooled below his navel so much that it hardly felt like they were kissing. Following the fluid movements of that hand, Riu, without knowing it, shivered all over. Then he bit down firmly on Matthew’s lips.

Even at a bite strong enough to think, “Oops,” Matthew didn’t falter. Rather, as if stimulated, with the hand that had been circling around the belly he softly swept over the ribs.

With his senses extremely heightened, his body jerked up reflexively. Following the tiny flinches and trembles, an excited moan leaked from Riu’s mouth. But soon, it was swallowed up again by Matthew’s lips.

“Huu…”

At the kiss that felt needy, Riu pushed hard at Matthew’s chest. When Matthew’s hand had gone a little higher, Riu thumped his chest with a fist. It was a signal to stop, to ask him to cut it out. Seeing Riu look close to tears, Matthew finally took moved his lips.

“Haa…”

Riu’s lashes quivered as he let out rough breaths. Since they had just kissed, his lower lip quickly puffed up. His saliva-slick lips were bright red and beneath his eyes shimmered with moisture.

Riu grasped Matthew’s hand, which still lingered on his chest. Then he curled his body to the side like a shrimp and let out quick breaths.

“Ah, not yet.”

“Not yet?”

“You’re moving too fast.”

At Riu’s words, Matthew let out a incredulous laugh. He had only intended to raise the intensity of the physical contact to acclimate Riu. But Riu, as if under some misunderstanding, looked dead serious.

It was obvious he’d already thought of crossing the line in his head, so Matthew let out a hollow laugh. Looking at Riu—who, with that innocent face, had even had a sly thought—Matthew roughly raked his hair back.

“Just how far did you imagine? Making a guy’s heart flutter.”

“…”

“Phew, like you thought, I was moving too fast. Right?”

“Like I thought…?”

“Yeah. It should have been at least by tomorrow.”

Erasing his smiling face, Matthew wrapped his arms around Riu’s back. Holding him as he lay, he kissed the back of Riu’s neck. Once, twice—kissing as he always did—and then he bit with his teeth.

The pain was on another level from when he’d bitten his ear. The ache, and the thrill that came at the same time, flowed into his body, and Riu clenched his hand tight.

“Hh…”

Even at Riu’s moan, Matthew didn’t stop. He ran his tongue long over the spot he’d bitten, then lightly sucked. The sound of sucking at his flesh rang explicit at his ear. Because he sucked like that for a good while, a red mark was stamped under Riu’s neckline.

“I’ll yield up to here for today.”

“…”

“So let’s play a different game.”

“A different game?”

“Yeah.”

Matthew stroked the nape of Riu’s neck. Below the long, white nape, the red mark stood out. Seeing the mark imprinted in a spot that couldn’t be covered even with clothes, satisfaction rose on Matthew’s face.

“Right. No one will come here, and it seems perfect for you to draw my nude.”

“…”

“You’ll draw it, right?”

He had thought the day would come someday, but he hadn’t known it would be today. Up until just a moment ago, Riu had been thinking he wanted to try drawing Matthew. To Riu, Matthew’s words were more tempting than anything.

But he had only wanted to draw him clothed; he hadn’t wanted Matthew’s naked body.

Matthew’s body—it felt as embarrassing as showing his own bare body. Unaware of such feelings of his, Matthew pestered from behind like a child.

Seeing Riu unable to answer rashly, Matthew got up. In one motion he seized his wrist and pulled Riu’s upper body upright.

“If exposure feels burdensome, we can just get used to it little by little. Right?”

“…”

On the lips with which Matthew whispered sweet words, a small wound was visible. It was the spot he’d unconsciously bitten while kissing. Even though the wound looked deeper than expected, Matthew didn’t show a hint of pain. Watching Matthew speak as if nothing were wrong, a wave of guilt washed over Riu.

“Come here, Riu.”

With his eyes full of gentleness, Matthew pulled Riu. He took him to where a wooden easel was set up and soon sat Riu down in front of it.

Matthew fetched the tools from beside them and set paper on the easel. Then he placed a pencil between Riu’s fingertips and lightly held both his shoulders.

“Just the thought that you’re going to draw me is very exciting.”

“Matthew…”

“Draw me nicely, okay.”
