Title: (Nacht) Reporting Bingsu-Guild’s Tax-Rate Bait – Guild Master: (Nacht) ChocoSyrup
(screenshot)
They lowered the tax rate to 5 % three days ago, so I figure everyone probably listed items on the Bingsu market for the first time—posting this so you can check.
The tax shown when you list an item is the rate “at the moment of listing,” but the payout you get uses the rate “at the moment it actually sells.”
Everything that’s selling right now is getting hit with a 50 % tax, so withdraw your items fast.

Buyers don’t know the tax rate, so they’re just purchasing ㅠㅠㅠ Please stop buying too.
Yeonjun hurried back to the game client and checked his own market status.
[Transaction Log]
(Pharrel) Destined Reinforced Peridot (+7) – sold 1 hour ago
Sale price: 54 million gold
Amount after fees: 27 million gold
[Collect Proceeds]
At the current exchange rate—50 k gold ≈ ₩10 000—that loss was about the size of an entire semester’s tuition.
“…”
His face stayed calm, but his mind was anything but.
What… is this?
Eraha hadn’t been open long, and no one knew all the tricks yet, but being swindled like this still made his blood boil. It felt unreal that almost ₩500 000 had disappeared in the blink of an eye.
Even for someone who’d lived comfortably, half a million won was serious money. Cash or not, losing it in game-currency form was something he could not let slide.
[Guild/PolarBear : Guild-master, you seeing this?]
[Guild/Emu : That’s not all ㅈㅁ]
[Guild/Emu : (link)]
[Guild/Emu : I’m deep-breathing after reading this]
[Guild/BrightMoon : Ignis, what are you going to do about this?]
Yeonjun took a long breath and clicked the link Emu had sent.
[Server Board : (Nacht)]
Title: Ignis-nim, thank you ^^

77ㅓ억 (7.7 billion)
Thanks to you, the guild meet-up is going to be wagyu rib-eye.

- Wow, that seriously crosses the line. Shouldn’t you at least give some back?
- (Gif of popcorn popping)
ㄴ (Gif of people lining up at the popcorn stand)
ㄴ (Gif of sharing popcorn) - Big one’s here, guys—lay out the mats and watch.
- A 27 million-gold fee? How much is that? ㄷㄷㄷ
ㄴ About ₩540,000 in real money.
ㄴ Insane ㅋㅋㅋㅋ Wagyu money indeed. - Don’t get what’s so great about bragging and provoking. Bet other servers copy this mess now.
ㄴ Some other servers already have variable-tax castle lords. Nacht just never saw it because Bingsu had the castle locked down. - Crap like this will kill Eraha soon enough.
What now?
Twenty-year-old Yeonjun was hot-blooded and fearless. He opened the guild-management window, went to the Guild War tab, and, without a second’s hesitation, dumped every last coin from the guild vault into a declaration of war.
[Guild/Emu : ㅈㅁ guild-master]
[Guild/Emu : Did you really see it?]
[Guild/RIPMMO : Got a really bad feeling tickling my frontal lobe]
[Guild/Emu : Guild-master?]
[Guild/Emu : No, right?]
[Guild/Emu : What are you clicking right now?]
[Guild/Emu : It’s not that, right?]
[System : Emu sheds heartbreaking tears.]
[Guild/Emu : Ah please]
[Guild/Emu : Ah please hyung please]
[System : Emu slaps Ignis across the face.]
Yes, it was exactly what Emu feared. The moment Yeonjun hit Declare War, a server-wide system notice appeared.
[System : Guild has declared war on castle-lord guild in Pharrel!]
[System : Wager: 200 000 000 gold]
[System : If the castle lord accepts within 12 h, Pharrel will become a guild-war battlefield.]
[Server/PlanBox : ????????]
[Server/AppleBee : ?????????]
[Server/FrogDresser : Huh??????]
[Server/HealAgain : Did I just see 200 million??]
[Server/berryvery : It’s 200 mil! POPCORN NOW AAAAA]
[Server/Youngsook : lololol that amount screams “I’m 100 % sure I’ll win.”]
Converted to real money, that pot was in the millions of won—enough to shake even the paid server-chat.
Sure, in top-tier games a castle could feed an entire crew, but Eraha wasn’t that established yet. Judging by Bingsu’s antics, they didn’t look that rich.
No wonder: with a 50 % tax, hardly anyone used the market, so castle taxes never piled up. Could Bingsu, who regularly sold gold for cash, cough up a hundred million to match the wager?
Everyone started popping popcorn, thrilled because it wasn’t their money.
[Server/Speechless : One declaration of war and the swagger level goes through the roof…]
[Server/WhiteWhiteBlack : Can’t wait to see whether Bingsu makes excuses or accepts.]
[Server/Classic : Any bets on “they accept”?]
[Server/LiberalArtsProf : They have to. Bingsu’s broke—spent all their gold turning it into rice, lol.]
Meanwhile, in Flammer guild-chat, Emu was losing his mind.
[Guild/Emu : KYAaaaaa~!! KYAaaaaa~!! KYAaaaaa~!! KYAaaaaa~!!]
[Guild/PolarBear : What’s up, Emu?]
[Guild/PolarBear : What happened?]
[Guild/RIPMMO : Emu put 40 mil in the vault yesterday]
[Guild/PolarBear : KYAaaaaa~!! KYAaaaaa~!! KYAaaaaa~!!]
Emu had every right to scream. Eraha’s war-declaration system was literally war for money. The challenger could stake as much gold as they wished. Win, and you get the castle and your money back; lose, and the castle lord keeps the stake. Emu’s 40 million deposited yesterday was now collateral.
[Guild/Emu : sob sob sob…]
[System : Emu slaps Ignis across the face.]
[Guild/Emu : sob sob sob…]
[System : Emu slaps Ignis across the face.]
[Guild/Emu : sob sob sob…]
After spamming the same cries until the anti-spam filter muted him, Emu finally fell silent. Yeonjun used the lull to type.
[System : Emu slaps Ignis across the face.]
[Guild/Ignis : It’s fine.]
[System : Emu slaps Ignis across the face.]
[Guild/Ignis : We just have to win, ㅇㅇ]
Start a fight, you win it—simple.
Ignoring Emu’s frantic slaps, Yeonjun opened the guild status window with icy focus.
If Bingsu chickened out, they’d have to pay Flammer a 50 % forfeit. Meaning Yeonjun would get back several times the fee they’d stolen. If they accepted, he could take the castle. Losing two hundred million? He didn’t even consider that possibility.
Rumors had been swirling: Why doesn’t the undefeated Base-king go for castles? Maybe he sucks at other PvP? Time to prove them wrong.
Would Bingsu accept? Pay up one hundred million and keep the castle, or risk losing it altogether. The choice was theirs.
[Guild/BrightMoon : I switched my whole skill set to PvP. Let’s go.]
[Guild/PolarBear : I’ll swap mine too.]
[Guild/Emu : sob sob sob…]
[Guild/Emu : sob sob sob…]
The mute lifted; three seconds later Emu got muted again for copy-paste spam.
[Guild/RIPMMO : Don’t cry.]
[Guild/RIPMMO : Tears reduce DPS.]
[Guild/RIPMMO : Just prep for war.]
Four hours later, Bingsu’s guild master ChocoSyrup made the call.
[System : Pharrel castle lord has accepted Flammer’s declaration of war!]
[System : Entry to the guild-war field is restricted; Pharrel siege begins in 10 min!]
Eraha Online hadn’t even reached its first anniversary when the richest siege in its history kicked off.
[System : Flammer vs. Bingsu siege has ended.]
[System : Flammer’s victory fanfare resounds triumphantly!]
[System : Guild defeats and takes the title “Lord of Pharrel.”]
Of course, Yeonjun won.
The moment Flammer’s victory rang across Nacht, every community and the entire Eraha Online universe went absolutely wild.
